Hello and welcome back! I know, I know. It’s been a while. I haven’t been posting much lately. Part of that is my fault, I’ve been putting it off and not doing anything. But also, part of it is that my family just moved. Which is why I have a completely different background that you’ve never seen before. This is my new room… For now. I just wanted to make a quick post updating you on what’s up, why I haven’t posted in a while. Part of it is the move, yes. I’ve also been busy with work, commuting a lot to Seattle. A lot of things happening at once.
I still live in the same town, a small farm town north of Seattle. It’s still the same town, but kind of across the river. It may be just “across town,” but it’s completely different. My old place was in the suburbs, surrounded by people, packed in. The new place is in what’s pretty much farm country. The nearest neighbor is like… Far enough that you can’t really see what they’re doing without binoculars. It’s really nice, we’ve already seen a lot of birds, a lot of wildlife. I like it here. The views are amazing. It’s so nice having that distance from people.
This is an old farmhouse, it used to be a dairy farm. So we’re kind of going back to my family’s roots. My grandma grew up on a dairy farm, her family were dairy farmers in South Dakota. So we’re kind going back to that. We still have the old milk parlor. You can clearly see this used to be a dairy farm. It’s really cool.
My parents decided they wanted to move because if they were going to move, this is a good time as any. And… We’re not moving again after this, not happening (laughs). Well, my parents anyway. It’s really interesting, figuring out where we’re going to put things, how we’re going to set up this new place. Because this place is a lot smaller, but at the same time it feels so much bigger. It’s weird, but yeah. We will be using the old milk parlor building for some things, so that helps separate some things from the other house. So… It’s a lot to go through, but we really like it here.
Yeah, of course, I will miss the old home. My family moved there when I was 12, so we lived in that house for almost 15 years. That’s a long time! So… Leaving that place, where a lot of my childhood memories are, is bittersweet. But I’m still excited for the new journey in this house, what we will do with this house. There are so many potential things that we can do with this house, we’re all really excited about it.
We moved in recently, on the 22nd. So by the time you see this, it will be four days since we moved in. It’s…still a little bit chaotic. There’s still a lot of things in boxes, so… I’m not going to show you the house. Probably not for a while, and I don’t know if I will even do that, because… I don’t know. We’ll see. I may do it on Instagram stories, kind of a house tour. Maybe, but we’ll see. That won’t be for a while anyway.
I think I’m going to end here. I just wanted to let you know what’s up with me, what’s going on in my life, why I haven’t posted that much recently. I know I keep saying this, but I really do want to try to improve with my posting. It’s just figuring out my schedule, because I’m working a lot now, so I’m commuting. That eats up a lot of time. Figuring out when to do filming, and often when I have the time to do a video, I’m just tired. I just don’t want to think. So right now, I’m working on scripting several videos, or at least making outlines for videos, so I can do less thinking, and just film. I’m hoping to–this video/post for sure, but I’m hoping maybe one… Maybe two more videos, before this month is over, but I really doubt that.
For real, I’m going to end the post now. If you really want to know what’s up with me currently, I definitely suggest you follow me on Instagram. I post on stories pretty often. Well, often enough to let you know what’s going on with me. And… Yeah, that’s all for today!
