Queer Lit Readathon 2020 Dates | Vlogmas

Hello and welcome! As you can already tell from the title, this will be the dates for the Queer Lit Readathon in 2020. Kathy and I decided we wanted to plan ahead for the year, and give you all the chance to put these on your calendars well in advance. Round 5 will be happening May 31 – June 6, and round 6 will be happening November 29 – December 5. I can’t believe we’re on this many rounds already! It feels like we just started. If you follow our Twitter and Instagram, where we’ve already posted about this, you’ll have noticed that the graphic has two more sets of dates on it.

March 28th and 29th, September 26th and 27th. These are what we’re calling Queer Weekends. Kathy got this idea from another readathon that she loves, Contemporaryathon. Basically, this is just a weekend edition of the Queer Lit Readathon, about halfway between the week-long readathons. There won’t be any challenges or bingo boards, the only thing to do is read queer books and talk about them! This is just another way of encouraging you to read queer books year-round, as you should be anyway.

Also, since we have the dates decided now, that means we are looking for guest co-hosts. If you talk about queer books—you don’t have to be a BookTuber, I’m not!—caption your videos, and are interested, please let either Kathy or I know! Captioning is a requirement, since I kind of need them to be able to enjoy the videos, and a lot of other people do too.

That’s all for this update of Queer Lit Readathon, and of course, you can use #QueerLitRead and @queer_lit across all socials for this. We’ll also be using #QueerWeekend during the new weekend editions! Let us know if you have any questions, or just want to discuss queer books! Thanks for watching, see you tomorrow.
