Small YouTuber Tag

Hello! It’s been a while since I did kind of, a sit down and chat kind of video/post so I decided why not do the “Small YouTuber Tag?” It’s pretty simple. For those of you who don’t know what a tag means, it means you have a list of questions to answer, and the last question is “who do you tag to do this video next?” For this one, it’s only eight questions, that’s all.

1. What inspired you to start making videos?

For me, I feel like in the deaf community, there’s very few vloggers. There are a few out there, yes, but… Compared to the percentage of the deaf population, it’s maybe… 0.000005%, I don’t know, but a really small percentage do YouTube videos. At least, the kind that I do – travel, showing life… So, I felt that if I want to see that kind of thing, maybe I should just do it myself. So that’s why I started making videos.

2. How long have you been on YouTube and are there other channels you have?

I’ve been… Well, I’ve been ON YouTube for… Since 2009? Which would be eight years. Something like that. But I’ve actually been making videos regularly for almost two years now. It will be two years this August.

3. Where do you see your channel in five years?

Pfft. Five years from now? I have no idea. I do hope I am still making videos by then. But…where it will go, what I’ll be doing with it… I have no idea. There might be more sit down kind of thing… Honestly, I have no idea.

4. What message are you trying to get across with your channel?

I don’t really have a huge, important message with my channel. Except that I want to show that Deaf people are people! We’re just like everyone else. We’re not these weird kind of people. No, we are just like you. We just happen to not hear, we just happen to have a different language and culture.

5. Do people from real life find your videos?

If you mean from my life, uh yes. I share it on my Facebook and….stuff. But I have had some people be like hmm, you look familiar and can’t place where I know you from. I’m usually, uhhh YouTube, Facebook…? Now, it’s even worse since I’ve been involved with Frontrunners. It’s an international thing so… My face is out there.

6. What does your username mean?

Sigh. I really, honestly want to change it. I’ve been thinking about maybe switching to a new YouTube, setting up a new channel. Because I don’t want that username. I can’t change it because it’s “too old.” So…ugh! Really, it was just an username that I made when I was really young, like 12 or 13 years old, something like that.

7. Favorite small YouTubers?

Pfft. Honestly… I watch YouTube regularly, then sometimes there’s a whole month where I go without really watching anything. I don’t really have any YouTuber that I’m like oh! This is amazing! But one channel I do watch regularly that has really amazing, beautiful videos, is called New Age Creators. It’s a group of five people who make videos each day of the week. Like, one person makes videos on Mondays, another Tuesdays and so on. And…beautiful videos! Each week will have a theme. Like one week is change, another week is technology. Whatever. It’s really cool, and I definitely recommend you check it out. And they’re actually making videos right now on SoulPancake. They’re not really a small YouTuber, it’s a group channel but there’s some of their videos on there if you want to check that out. One con, for me, with YouTube in general is that there’s a lot of YouTubers that don’t have captions. Which is unfortunate. There are now more and more doing captions which is great, but… Not enough. The New Age Creators don’t have captions. Not yet anyway. But if you watch their videos on SoulPancake, they do have captions on there because SoulPancake captions everything. I could probably list more, but I’m not thinking of them right now, oh well.

8. Who do you tag?

I’m not going to tag anyone because…ehh. If you feel like you want to do this, go ahead! Do it!

So, that’s all for today. Hope you enjoyed it! If you want to see any specific kind of video/post from me, let me know. If you have any questions, or want to chat with me about something, let me know! See you next time.
